My first blog post ever!

Yes, you get to see my first blog post ever. After much deliberation Alison and I decided to create a joint blog. Among the many reasons for this is that one of us does not know how to share our single computer and the other one of us probably would not post promplty enough. I won't mention any names but I will say that siestas are more important than editing pictures and blogging.

Here are some of our adventures in Melbourne so far:

Ali at the Victoria Market. The bread is very yummy in this part of the world and we have eaten lots of it.

Our host family: Nik, Lucas and Irma. They have made us feel like we are home and maybe put Micha a bit to shame.

 The Melbourne Library.

The Melbourne Gaol - Australia has a rich inmate history.

A bicycle stroll around Melbourne with Nik and Ali. We ended up covering about 35 km.

Alison prospecting for gold with a metal detector.

Going down abandoned gold mines.

After a few days in Melbourne Nik lent me his motorcycle and we went down the Great Ocean Road. This is the Split Point Lighthouse.

Our view from our hotel "Great Ocean View"

Koalas in the wild taking a siesta. They must be Mexican.

View of the 12 Apostles at Port Campbell National Park.

After Port Campbell NP we turned back to Melbourne. It was a rather long and chilly moto ride, but we made it back with no incident. Ali made us a yummy veggie stir fry and we warmed up at Nik and Irma's. Phew, after all that blogging I am off for a nap.
