Dubai is an amazing city in the United Arab of Emirates. Not only does it have the biggest mall in the world, the tallest building in the world, and the streets look like an elite car show, it is also booming with construction of new buildings like no other place I have ever seen before.
The Dubai skyline will dazzle you with lots of skyscrapers on the horizon.
But this is the biggest of all. The Burj Khalifa is the tallest buiding in the world and an amazing sight.
At the base of the building is the Dubai Mall, the largest shopping mall in the world with a water fountain show that surpasses Vegas.
Of course at the biggest mall in the world we had to visit the fabric store.
Other non-shopping related activities involved going to a cultural talk in a beautiful mosque.
We went out to the desert for a safari. This included dune bashing in a Land Cruiser as well as camel rides, dinner, and a show.
Ali and me enjoying sunset in the desert.
I got to play with a trained falcon. It is a majestic bird... and I was a bit afraid of its sharp claws and beak.
The dinner show involved entertainment that we did not expect, such as this fellow in an LED outfit that spun around for a whole ten minutes.
Once the show was over, and after three toasty days, we headed out via the Dubai Airport. The only airport where I have seen a McLaren super car up for raffle. Maybe I should have bought a ticket...
