We spent 2 nights anchored off remote beaches and private bays around the vacation island of Langkawi before we headed to the main island for a few days of whirlwind fun - scooter rentals, natural water slides, and our final Sail Malaysia Rally Dinner, where we found out the Minister of Tourism for Malaysia is following our blog! Dang yo! - we should have opted for ads on our blog after all!
Thailand here we come!!!
Here is what sailing around the 99 islands of Langkawi looks like.
The scooter gang returns for more island mayhem!
We met up with our friends from Water Musik, the family of 5 from Washington, for an afternoon of fun!
And basking in the sun!
And natural water slides!
We have seen jelly fish the size of black garbage bags go floating by.
amazing roads + lush scenery = awesome scooter ride
They don’t have seaweed flavored chips here, but tother unique flavors abound.
A swing yoga class - soo much fun!
The prime minister of Malaysia started the Perdana Gallery - a museum of nothing but presents he has received from around the world!
Including an F1 race car from Petronas Oil. Why don’t people give me cars? hint, hint
We ended up soaking our toesies at a salt water hot spring - 1 of only 5 in the world!
Apparently soaking ones feet on a 90 degree plus day is the thing to do.
We ran into our buddy Clem while walking around Cenang Beach.
Our farewell dinner was held in a swank restaurant in the middle of a rice paddy field.
And what rally dinner would be complete without a group of colorful dancers?
