We are having too much fun! We are back on the boat now in our own private tropical bay off the island of Langkawi, having just sailed here from Penang. We had such a blast with our new crew members Jim and Wendy exploring the UNESCO town of Penang from the interactive street art to museums to cooking classes!
Best street name ever - Love Lane - right around the corner from our hotel.
And here is how our street got it’s name. These wire art factoids are all over the city, making for a fun walking tour.
Omar dominating in basketball.
Apparently not all Asians are good with cameras. (just kidding) (sort of)
This is the iconic mural from Penang, the first street art that started the mural movement - available on all sorts of shirts and souvenirs.
Penang is a UNESCO heritage city, once under control of the British. Can you tell?
I just loved the photograph!
Omar about to get stomped on by a dragon. He is really laughing in the face of danger.
I should have knocked that brat off the chair.
The men folk waiting patiently while us women popped in a store. Looks like love.
Vroom, vroom!
Who knew?!?! A camera museum just down the road from our guest house.
Omar was in heaven. I had practice in patience.
Meet Lim Dang Chii, the artist, and the newest piece to add to my international art collection.
Another country - time for another cooking class.
Nazlina and I in her outdoor kitchen toasting shredded coconut and making spiced rice.
Vegetable korma - delish!!!
