We had a glorious few days enjoying the white sand beaches of the Phi Phi islands, where the movie The Beach was filmed. We spent hours in the water and I got beaten to a pulp with my first Thai massage. It won't be my last.
It was definitely worth the hike.

Sadly, there are still signs of the tsunami everywhere . . . and unfortunately too many people who lost friends and family.
Traditional bamboo tattooing . . . amazing! The tattoo doesn’t scab over, no blood, instantly ok to get wet unlike American tattoos!
Nothing says fun like a private boat rental to explore islands and bays for the day.
The water was crystal clear.
Jealous yet?
Believe it or not, the Thai Massage is my new favorite type. It feels wonderful!
